Auld Lang Syne

It's that time of year again.

The time of the year when the hustle and bustle of Christmas has started to taper off, and the excitement and wonderment of the New Year begins.

It's a time that, for myself personally, isn't one that's looked forward to. I hate New Years. I never get to enjoy any parties, or what-nots that might be going on elsewhere. I always get anxious, and nervous, and extremely antsy before midnight rolls around and that big crystal ball drops.

Some people might think I'm weird, but I honestly don't understand where all the hype comes from. I literally spend the entire night of New Years Eve walking on egg shells. I guess I might have a little panic disorder, at least when it comes to this time of the year. Just another excuse for people to get blazing drunk, extremely stupid, and even more thoughtless about those around them.

Let's take a look at the top 10 events (of my life anyway) of 2008
  1. First things first, my second beautiful daughter was born in February. One that we thought we'd never have, what a way to start things off.
  2. 5 days after my daughter was born, my beautiful neice joined her cousins. 2 big events right off the bat.
  3. I started working in May. My daughter wasn't even 3 months old, and I had to leave her to go back to work.
  4. My oldest daughter graduated from Kindergarten. She was so proud, and so was I.
  5. That same daughter, started 1st grade. Man .. I'm feeling really old.
  6. I gained everything that I lost (and then some) after I had my daughter. I feel extremely fat and disgusting.
  7. September 11, I lost my job. That's turning out to just be a cursed day.
  8. September 30, my husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. A milestone quite a few people thought we wouldn't see.
  9. I'm staying home with the kids now, and I feel overworked, underpaid, and way underappreciated. But I'm too afraid to speak up and say anything.
  10. The time of year that I dread the most, is here. Oy vey ...
Just in time for me to start the visious cycle all over again...

Until next time ...

Babies, Life, School .. blah blah blah

So my little one is almost 7 months old. That's so hard for me to believe, seeing as how it took SO long to get pregnant. But that's another blog entirely.

Anyway .. she's doing so many things. She's started to 'babble'. She's not talking for real .. but she is talking. Ba, Da, Ma .. things like that. Nothing that's not usual for her age. But it's just so darn cute!!

She's also started pulling herself up. She started 'crawling' a few weeks ago. The typical 'army crawl'. Then it progressed into full fledged crawling .. and now she's already pulling up on things. No matter where we put her; her crib, her play pen, even on the floor, she'll make her way to something stable .. and up she goes. I just know it's only going to be a matter of time before I'm chasing her around the house, and worrying about the dreaded fireplace bricks.

School is ALMOST done for me. THANK GOD!! It seems like it's taking FOREVER! But the end is in sight. I'll have a degree. I can't believe it's almost over. But who's counting.

I thank GOD for online classes, but they really are a lot more difficult then going to a regular traditional class. Especially if you're like me, and you're a visual, hands-on type of learner. But with much perseverance, I"m almost done!! Woohoo!!

Life .. well, life is starting to look up. My husband went for a job interview today .. and was offered the position. Thank goodness!! I'm so excited for him .. but nervous at the same time. His job situation has been so shaky for so long, but I know if he'd just have faith in himself (like I do) and trust that he CAN do it (like I do) he'd be ok. I'm praying he's made it to that point.

My new motto is this ... "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain". If we wait for the storm to pass .. we'll be waiting forever.

Until next time ..

Third Time's A Charm

So, this is my third attempt at blogging.

My first blog, for some stupid reason, I deleted it. I don't know why I did it, I totally regret it now. But oh well, there's nothing that can be done about that now anyway.

The second one, magically disappeared into cyber-space no-where. It's gone. Don't know where it went, or what happened to it. Once again, nothing can be done about it .. moving on.

So here we are. Try number 3. Will this one last? I guess time will tell.

I don't even know if anyone reads these things .. it doesn't really matter anyway. I mainly do it (blogging that is) to let off steam. When I really need to yell, scream, or just plain get pissed off, I'll blog. Everyone needs an outlet. This is mine.

Please don't find offense to my words. It's not fair. They're MY words, and MY feelings, which I'm entitled to have. If you're offended by anything that I say .. then don't read my blog. Plain and simple. I'm not being rude, it's just like I said before. They're MY feelings. They're completely legitimate, and I need a place where I can let them out. Otherwise I'll explode. That would be too messy to deal with .. so I choose to blog.

Right at this moment in time, there's nothing really pressing that I need to 'let out'. I'm just typing .. cause I can't sleep. Maybe I'll try anyway .. (to sleep that is)

Until next time ..
